Finally, the Huawei Mate 50 gets the HarmonyOS 4.2.0.120 beta version, bringing various upgrades like New Themes, Cute Emojis Stickers for Display, improvements in the Display Interface, and a March 2024 Security Update.
Huawei worked on HarmonyOS 4.2 lineups long ago and continues for high-end devices to bring more security & UI features. This update will hit all the models in Huawei Mate 50 Series like Huawei Mate 50, Mate 50 Pro, Mate 50 Porsche Design, and Mate 50E.
HarmonyOS 4.2.0.120 beta for Huawei Mate 50: Features
- Display Interface Improvements— The first thing is we got a huge improvement in animation when the App opened. Before this update, the animation was not bad but sometimes felt unresponsive but after this update, we can say “Smoothness is looking like a Wao!”
- New Animated Themes— The new HarmonyOS 4.2.0.120 beta brings some exciting themes with mood emojis that show cute expressions when you lock or unlock your phone. It allows customization the various of Mood Emojis/Stickers that you want on your display. We mostly love the Geometric Sticker and Geometric Party theme in the Interactive section in the Theme store.
- App Opening Animation— App Opening Animation was not premium before this update, but these things in now fixed, and it is more responsive when it opens. I had bad animation experience with PUBG Mobile, COD Mobile, and a few more heavy games. But the good thing is these are now fixed.
- Enhanced Security— This update comes with the March 2024 SEcurity Patch Update that enhanced the privacy of users and security.
HarmonyOS 4.2.0.120 Stable Launch Date for Huawei Mate 50
This beta update can be available for the first 200 Users only, as per the reports. So Huawei Mate 50 Series users should pay more attention to this update. However, a Stable Version of This update announcement is yet to be released by the company.
