The UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) has extended the Free Updating Service. According to him, Aadhar Holder can update its Aadhar Details till September 14, 2024. It remains free from the UIDAI portal or MyAadhar App while there is a Rs 50 Fee for offline updates.
Ahead of the deadline, UDI holders can change a few details such as name, address, photo, and other details that can be updated free of cost on the UIDAI portal.
Previously UIDAI announced the Free Cost Aadhar Update deadline of 15th December 2023, then extended to March 14th, 2024, then again extended to June 14th, 2024, now latest announcement says it is extended to September 14th, 2024.
How to Update Aadhar Card Update For Free
UDI holders can update their Aadhar Card Details before 14th September as UIDAI announced. Ahead of the deadline, you can make changes in Aadhar Details from the UIDAI portal for free of cost. Here are the step-by-step guides, on how to update your Aadhar cards for free.
- First, you need to visit the UIDAI Official Porta “https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in” and log in using your 16-digit Aadhar Number.
- Now it will ask you to fill in the Captcha and OTP. The OTP will be sent to the Linked Mobile Number from your Aadhar Card. Fill in the OTP and click on Login.
- Now you are redirected to your Aadhar Dashboard where you can make many changes, Block/Unblock, etc.
- In the blocks, Choose Document Update and your Residence Details will be displayed.
- Upload here your Proof of Identity and Address documents and click on Submit Button.
- Now it will go under a process of details update. Your submitted requests will be accepted in a few working days.
Last Date To Update Aadhar Card For Free?
As UIDAI announced the last date to update Aadhar Card For free is set to 14th September 2024. Previously its deadline was announced as 14th March, then 14th June, and now it is 14th September.
